The authentic path to God is one of full transparency—with the Spirit, with yourself, and with your brothers. “No private thoughts” and “no people-pleasing” are helpful guidelines along this path, for they can profoundly accelerate your awakening. By exposing the ego's thoughts, giving up its attempts to please others, and being honest about how you feel, the ego's veil dissolves. Transparency allows the light of Christ to shine through you unhindered, and thus are you convinced of the truth: that you are this light, that you are dearly Loved, and that there’s truly nothing to fear.
The necessary condition for the holy instant does not require that you have no thoughts that are not pure. But it does require that you have none that you would keep. Let the Holy Spirit's purity shine them away, and bring all your awareness to the readiness for purity He offers you. What is it like to attend an online retreat?
These retreats are a very deep and intimate experience for everyone involved. You will experience the same connection and engagement as you would on a “physical” retreat, except now from the comfort of your own home. These weekends offer dynamic teaching sessions, movies, video clips, live music performances, Q and A, and more. It truly feels like we’re right there in your living room with you.
Let your friends and family know that you are in retreat so you can limit the distractions of the world. Set your space for a reverent, loving, inward experience.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What type of computer or equipment will I need to have?
You will need a computer that has a webcam and microphone (most computers come with those built-in) or a mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.). You will also need to have a good internet connection. For optimal audio quality, we also recommend using a pair of headphones or earbuds.
2. How will I be able to join the retreat? Do I need to be technically savvy?
No! It will be quite simple actually. Once you register, we will be sending you some basic instructions on how to join us. If you have any difficulty, we have a tech support person who can help you.
