"All your past except its beauty is gone, and nothing is left but a blessing."
— A Course in Miracles (T-5.IV.8:2)
Do you feel a spark in your heart for something new? A calling to step out of the old and into a vibrant "state of mind" of renewal? ✨
We are absolutely thrilled to invite you to join David Hoffmeister for an intimate, 6-day Renovatio Movie Retreat at the Living Miracles Monastery this June! David will be joined by Jason Warwick and Kirsten Buxton. This is more than just a retreat; it is an intimate space for spiritual awakening and a deep experience of forgiveness through the gentle and joyful lens of movie-watching.
THE JOY OF JOINING
David’s unwavering commitment and lifetime of devotion to following the Spirit have opened a path for us to experience the power of the Spirit’s interpretation of the world. His radical use of mindful movie-watching as a tool for the release of judgment is unsurpassed, and this retreat is your invitation to receive that very gift.
Throughout our 6 days together, we will dive into:
- Deep Forgiveness: Using movies and David’s commentary as a pathway for healing.
- Experiential Sessions: Moving beyond theory into a lived experience.
- Intimate Q&A: Bringing your heart’s questions to the light of Presence.
MOVIES FOR AWAKENING
Movie watching for forgiveness is a fun pathway to Awakening! Every movie gathering with David is an awakening journey in itself - a magic carpet ride of transcendence!
Through prayer, David is “Given” the perfect movie from the Holy Spirit that best meets our present healing needs and themes. In a cozy atmosphere, this approach to enlightenment naturally supports emotions to arise, and thoughts and beliefs to be seen. When brought to the light of forgiveness, we are healed in a joyful way.

STEP INTO THE NEW
If you have been seeking a way to apply the principles of A Course in Miracles (ACIM) in a way that feels like a celebration of love and light, this is the place to be. Come and experience the "Renovatio"—the renewal of your mind—in the beautiful, quiet sanctuary of our monastery.
WHAT IS "RENOVATIO"?
Renovatio is the Latin term for rebirth, renewal, and restoration.
“Very simply, the resurrection is the overcoming or surmounting of death. It is a reawakening or a rebirth; a change of mind about the meaning of the world. It is the acceptance of the Holy Spirit's interpretation of the world's purpose; the acceptance of the Atonement for oneself.” (M-28.1.)
